During his rookie year in 1996, New York Yankees All-Star shortstop, Derek Jeter established the Turn 2 Foundation to promote healthy lifestyles among youth. Since its inception, the Turn 2 Foundation has given more than $20 million in support of signature programs and incentives that have encouraged healthy lifestyles, academic achievement and leadership development for thousands of young people. The 2015 DJCI generated over $1 million for the Turn 2 Foundation.
